REGISTERED NURSE-CATH LAB (FT)
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for delivering care for the patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care. Must exhibit excellent communication skills, critical thinking, professional behavior and time management skills. Must be able to delegate, direct and supervise patient care. Institute appropriate nursing interventions according to department policy and procedure. Facilitate patient flow throughout the surgical experience in collaboration and cooperation with the other nursing units. Collaborate with physician to ensure expected outcomes for patient. Communicate relevant information to the appropriate health care team, the patient and the family. Document legibly in the patient record including patient responses to treatments and medications and progress towards goals as appropriate. Provide care and support to the patient before, during and after surgery. Serve as a resource for other licensed and unlicensed staff. Assure services are in compliance with professional standards, state and federal regulatory requirements and follow the established AORN Recommended Guidelines and Standards of Practice.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
-Current registered nurse license in the State of Texas
-Current CPR
-A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is preferred, National certification is preferred.
