PHYSICAL THERAPY DIRECTOR (FT)
JOB SUMMARY
Acts as a department head and member of the hospital leadership team and compiles reports, statistics, and maintains the department budget. Responsible for maintaining clinical standards and keeping departmental operations and staff current with hospital standards and evidence- based practice and serves as a treating therapist to provide screens, assessments, and treatments to patients within their scope of practice. Directs Rehabilitation staff and services by developing strategic objectives and providing best practice solutions. The Director of Rehabilitation is responsible for In and Outpatient Rehabilitative series with continual development of department programs. The emphasis is placed on building a strong referral base with physicians and awareness of services in the community through delivery of quality services and community education.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s Degree in Hospital Administration or Business helpful, preferred
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program with a BS or Master’s degree in Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapy.
- Current Texas License and registered with the American Physical Therapy Association
- CPR certified
